Social Security benefits will increase 2.8 percent in 2019, the largest cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) in seven years. AARP Chief Executive Officer Jo Ann Jenkins said in response, “The COLA brings needed income security to those depending on their earned, modest benefits. It's virtually useless since Medicare premiums increase at the same time.

Unless you are a higher income beneficiary or unless your income went up substantially from getting Extra Help to not getting Extra Help, the Part B premiums only went up from $134 per month to $135.50 for most everybody and that ($ 1.50 ) is far less than the 2.8% COLA for 2019.
