What Are Your Favorite Instrumental Tunes?
The subject of instrumentals came up in another thread, so I thought it might be fun to see what instrumental tunes everyone enjoys. Instrumentals cover a wide range of genres when you start to think about it; classical (of course), movie soundtracks, pop, jazz, big band oldies, blues, country, rock, and many instrumental versions of your favorite song titles, too.
So what instrumental music do you like? What are your favorite tunes or instrumental versions of your favorite songs? Multiple tunes and multiple genres are okay. And, if you have favorite on youtube, feel free to post the link so that we can listen, too!

The Bard’s Song - Agal the Bard, Blind Guardian cover
This guy is an amazing master of medieval instruments. He calls this “Bardcore”.He is from Spain. Apparently, that is a thing now in Europe. He is also on Spotify. If you click more in the description, it will list the instruments played.

Mark Knoffler's "Screenplaying" cd. What a fabulous collection of the most beautiful instrumentals that are exuberant yet soothing. The instrumental is exquisite when it blends right into the theme from the "Princess Bride". If you have never heard this album/cd, give yourself a real treat and turn on play.

The song was from 95. Monty Python reference was from the Monty Python's Flying Circus show. Something John Cleese said on some of the sketches transitions. Didn't have anything to do with Steve Vai. Just a remark after some calm songs to a rocker.

I have just discovered this group. APOCALYPTICA
It is just amazing what they can do with cellos and a drum kit. A lot of instrumentals. They started as a Metallica cover/tribute band then started writing their own stuff. For songs with vocals, they had various guest singers then I think they got a permanent one (at least for one album maybe longer). I have only gotten through a few so far. I plan on trying to listening to all available.
SACRA - Apocalyptica -(original piece) one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard.

ION - Apocalyptica - (original) a bit more rock

Apocalyptica showed up on the Apple Metal Instrumental playlist the other day. They got my attention, also. I’ve listened to parts of the album Cell-O and saved a few of those songs to a playlist.
