@nyadrn Here in Tampa, guess I should be listening to "Riders On The Storm" as Irma approaches - very appropriate - lol!
Actually I'm listening to sounds of pre-Irma wind and rain. My hubby has been listening to Rick Braun's "Full Stride" CD, so I've been enjoying a bit of that.

@gatorgorilla Me too! Who knew Paul Simon had good comedic timing? Cracks me up. Watch the second video (Proof) Paul and Chevy and Steve Martin goof around on a parade float. Wonderful silliness. 🙂

Note to all.............
TO nyadrn - Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah is one of the most
copied songs on all the singing shows. It has always been a
top favorite of mine.
And Annie Lenox has one of the most beautiful voices. There is
a Christmas song by her that is just beautiful. I'm not always in
tune to Rock Stars and Christmas records, but she is perfection
with this song.
To epster- I have thought of U2 as one of the top recording groups.
I loved there video of "Where the streets have no name", on the
roof top of that bar in LA. They stopped traffic and had people in
the streets cheering them on. The were prepared for a black out.
They had a portable generator to power their equipment. And they
did use it because the police cut the power. Like a Boy Scout,
Always prepared" I could use a little help with their name. I'm under
the impression that 'U2' is some type of employment form in the UK.
Let me know. Thanks
To gatorgorila. I believe we should always try to have some humor.
Even in the worst times. Your selection of the Doors hit made me
chuckel. I see that you are in Tampa. I will keep you and all the
residents of the huricane path in my thoughts. Stay safe and keep
posting so we know that you are OK...
I am not listening to any music at the moment (very strange for me)
What I was listening to was me reading all your great posts.
Thank You
PEACE

@rc8149 🙂 I adore that band. (U2) I think I listened to them exclusively for about 4 years. I don't know they have recorded a song I don't know by heart. 🙂
Bono tells the story of the name (not the band's first) as being taken from teh US spy plane, the U2. Here's more on the plane: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_U-2

Listening to The Nightfly. Ruby Baby
The Nightfly is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Donald **bleep**en. Produced by Gary Katz, it was released October 1, 1982 by Warner Bros. Records. **bleep**en was previously best known for his work in the group Steely Dan, with whom he enjoyed a successful career in the 1970s. The band separated in 1981, leading **bleep**en to pursue a solo career. Although The Nightfly includes a number of production staff and musicians who had played on Steely Dan records, it was **bleep**en's first release without longtime collaborator Walter Becker.

And my theme song from mountaineering days: Elevation.
Are ya now in the sky? Ya make me feel like I can fly, so high... Elevation.

John Lennon Imagine
This song divided our HS chorus. Some refused to sing it. Not me. I can imagine peace without betraying my God. 🙂
