Although many entertainers (Bobby Darin, Aretha Franklin, Tony Bennett, to name a few) covered Steve Allen's (Tonight Show fame) song, This Could Be The Start of Something Big. Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme 's cover from the early 1960's was an huge hit on 45 RPM. Backed by a band of outstanding musicians and their excellent vocals, makes you feel like your in Vegas listening and watching the show.

Today it’s Billie Eilish cover of Something shes a huge Beatles fan. This young women has talent. Made me get emotional thinking of George.

They have covered Dylan quite a lot over the years. This one is my favorite, and possibly my favorite Dylan cover of all time. It features a outstanding duet with Noel McCalla and Chris Thompson on vocals, and two amazing guitar solos by Mick Rogers.

Just heard this one today . . . and it was terrific (IMO)! The lead singer is Amanda Sommerville and her voice is amazing, a beautiful mezzo soprano. You don't hear many female singers that sing a beautiful low register like that (other than opera). And BTW, I love the Bonnie Tyler version, always have! 💛

Chicago's cover of Glenn Miller's "In The Mood" is a great version, from their Night and Day: Big Band album.

Chicago performed an outstanding cover of Duke Ellington's hit song, Satin Doll. The song was featured on Dick Clark's New Years Eve in the 1970s after Chicago became a top name act/show. I believe their cover was also featured on one of their albums as well. It should be noted that when Duke had a TV tribute, he invited one rock band, Chicago. Their horn section was outstanding.

Silver Threads and Golden Needles  -  Wanda Jackson (1956) cover by Linda Ronstadt

I don't remember the original country version from 1956, but I do remember the 1962 hit version by the British folk-rock group, The Springfields, which was excellent with the beautiful harmonies. It was recorded by many popular artists of the 60's and became something of a folk-rock classic. But then Linda Ronstadt comes along, and released a country crossover version in 1973 that blew them all away. She gave it something that every other artist had failed to do: She gave it Attitude! (with a capital A). It rocks! While many artists have covered it, Linda's version is, hands down, the best version ever, as far as I'm concerned.

Volta, as usual you nailed it. Linda Killed on this cut. She made it almost power country.

Her vocals are great. I might be wrong, but it is that cut from the era where the Eagles

were her back up group? Love her.

Love Savoy Brown great English blues band. Seen them a couple of times.

They did a pretty job on this cut, but they'll never top David Ruffin's and

Eddie Kendricks vocals on this one. It's a Temps classic.
