GREAT COVERS OF YOUR FAVORITE SONGS
For many an original song that they love cannot and will not ever be duplicated by a cover, but there are many songs that have been done equally (debatebly) well by others..
So do you have favorites?
What are your favorite covers of favorite songs?

You Belong To Me - Jo Stafford (and a bazillion others). She set the standard for this much loved and recorded tune. The Distance thread has another great version: The Duprees.

A lot of rock / metal / heavy metal singers have covered this, but most don't get anywhere near Paul McCartney's vocal ability to slay this song. This one gets pretty darn close . . .

Viva la Vida - Coldplay cover by Italian Artists. Due to the state of things, each of them is in their own studio.

@TheGent2U - Awesome covers by Italian Artists, really great arrangements. I especially liked the way they used the instruments on Africa. They're a very talented group of young musicians.

I'm adding this one, also. It's my favorite Beatles song. It was also made during quarantine. If they can do this from home, imagine what they'd be together in the studio.

Dust In The Wind - Kansas cover by Scorpions
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YozyV_u72w
This is from their live cd / dvd Acoustica. It was their first project with arrangements for acoustic instruments. I love the way that they utilize all of the instruments, and feature the cello in this one. The band is tight and the sound is full. The entire concert is a masterpiece!

Ruby Tuesday - Rolling Stones cover by Scorpions

The Scorps really put their 'sting' on this one. 🦂
If you're gonna cover The Stones, this is the way to do it.

Where You Lead - Barbra Streisand, with the rock group Fanny backing her up. And it was a hit.
