Longtime member of the
Oak Ridge Boys Joe Bonsall died Tuesday. He was 76.
The band made the announcement Tuesday morning, saying Bonsall died from complications of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as ALS.
Bonsall was a member of the Grand Ole Opry and had been inducted into the Philadelphia Music Hall of Fame, the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
He was also the author of 11 books, including an upcoming memoir I See Myself.
The Bonsall family has asked that people donate to
The ALS Association or to the Vanderbilt Medical Center ALS and Neuroscience Research Center in his honor. There will be no funeral, per his wishes.

Happy Birthday, Willie!
Big shout out to Willie Nelson, 91 years young today (and tomorrow). Willie explains that he was born just before midnight, April 29th, but his birth was not registered until April 30th. So he gets to celebrate two days.

The Beatles just announced that the Let It Be movie has been fully restored, and will stream on Disney+ beginning May 8th.
Looks like I’m in for another month of Disney+. Hope they will do the re-release on DVD. Then I’ll have a complete set of Let It Be. 😎

NO! Paul McCartney announced, not The Beatles he destroyed decades ago with his peevish jealous rhetoric...
Just another money grab for "Sir Paul". He used and abused his band mates, spouses and others...
Hopefully, just as his AI scheme fails, so will Paul's money grab with re-issue of this film.

Elton John and Bernie Taupin were awarded the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The tribute was broadcast on PBS. If you missed the show, It is streaming on PBS.org or the PBS app.
Performers include Annie Lennox, Garth Brooks, Brandi Carlile, Joni Mitchell, Jakob Lusk, Charlie Puth, Maren Morris, Metallica, and host Billy Porter.
Elton’s band backed several artists, and Sir Elton performed three songs at the end of the show: Mona Lisas And Mad-hatters (once said it was his favorite), Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting, and Your Song.
Metallica’s Funeral For A Friend / Love Lies Bleeding was awesome, and probably the surprise of the evening.
