Retirement Timing and Rhyming

When should you retire,

she said nosy to inquire?

One thing I know for sure,

don't want to say bonjour.

And next day expire!

I wake up each day,

without a job in my way,

More time with my wife,

to really enjoy our life,

Is there any more to say?

Left the job 2 years ago.,

Times since then is mighty slow.

Hope to meet some people soon.

That would put me over the moon.

@lc3507  Great start, now let's give it  a strong finish.  How about: prefer friend, not a foe?

So the rhyming sequence is AA  BB  A

Would really enjoy hearing another limerick. Keep up the good work.  ---  Christine
