I remember watching a lot of old movies as a kid. I liked all the Shirley Temple movies until I watched them more recently and saw they were pretty awful scripts and lots of over acting by the adults and/or bad directing. Hepburn and Grant in Bringin...
There was a British comedy called Miranda a while back that was off and on funny, if you get British humor, which often I don't. But it had one wet-your-pants-laughing-so-hard episode called Just Act Normal in which Miranda and her mother are mandate...
IF -- big IF -- I were to consent to inescapable confinement, I'd choose a fjord cruise. Best I can claim is a rough ferry across the English channel from Ostend Belgium to Ramsgate, Kent, England back in the dark ages (1970s).
I don't know about sleeping on trains in the US, but I've slept in Harry Potter type compartments on European trains, and it was restful (as soon as the French soldiers in the compartment with me settled down.). LOL
