If you are eyeing buying the "$50 Choose Your Card: Happy & Healthy Gift Card" because you want to use all $50 for Spotify...DON'T
I bought 2 gift cards and when i try to redeem, you can only redeem $30 on Spotify. So, I'm left with $20 to buy something I don't want.
Nothing in the description or terms say that i can only redeem $30 max on Spotify. Clearly FALSE ADVERTISING.
I called AARP and they told me to call the gift card provider and the gift card provided said they can't change that.
I'm never buying this type of gift card again.
I've noticed some companies limit how much you can use gift cards. On this site, when you get a Harry and David's (which includes about 9 sub companies) you can only use one yes one regardless of value, one gift card yet the site offers numerous offers for all the cards. Yes you can use one from Harry and David for all the other companies but ONE card?! And when they are only $5 that is really a non help. However, if you CALL Harry and David and place your order over the phone you can use as many as you want. Also Southwest airline, you get the gift cards from them but they limit the max you can use. If you are buying a bundle from Costco but can only use so much, why even offer it? I always considered the cash outlay for any gift card to be MY money so why tell me how much I can spend on one transaction? But it's just the way they do business now. If they are still in business when you get ready to redeem your gift cards! And Walgreens sometimes will not even take their own cards at the store! Don't get me started about Burger King....
Some Burger King locations are franchised owned and have the discretion to honor or not honor the Burger King gift cards. I found that a lot of the franchised Burger King locations won't honor the BK cards, but have their own discount coupons. The corporate owned Burger King locations will honor them.
re burger king. i had gift cards I had been using at the same location many times then one day it wouldn't work ANYWHERE. I called BK to confirm the gift card, it was valid, gave me the same story yet I used it at the same locations the month before. Then about a year later I could use it again so I made sure to use it all. I have not gotten BK cards since unless I won it on this site. BK would not do anything with a card unless you bought it directly from them (not third party sites). Their BBB rating was pretty low.
