AARP Eye Center
Just to show how singularly awful AARP is (by contrasting it with another company): On Wednesday, I had a problem redeeming a reward I had earned on a survey website (Hintsters). I sent them a brief email, to which they responded the same day. On Thursday and Friday, we exchanged another couple of brief emails, with me providing the info they requested. First thing this morning (Monday), I got an email telling me that the issue was fixed -- and it was! So five days, about 15 minutes of my time total, issue fixed. Contrast to AARP: Over a full month now, hours of my time, literally ZERO progress. Why do we, paying AARP members, tolerate being treated like this?
I think we should ALL give up AARP. Unfortunately, there aren't really other websites specifically like AARP. The one I was talking about (Hintsters) gives you points for taking surveys, and there are lots of other survey websites -- you can just google that.
