Delayed Gift Card Redemption Emails 9-1
From the new 9-1 Extra Credit activities many of us are not receiving the redemption emails that are normally sent out in a couple of minutes; it has been discussed in various other posts trending now - it seems there is going to be a delay. AARP has 'allowed itself' a delay of up to 24 hours; but I have seen it go up to three days. ๐ฒ ๐

Update 9-4 : finally got my Jersey Mike gift card by Thursday = 4 days ๐ฒ

one of two extra credit $5 just received, but can't see the transaction history to see if the other was refunded ...... let's be patient - it must have been a HUGE fiasco. Hopefully they honor all of the redemptions, since to me, these are pretty much the equivalent for these companies to hand out $5 off coupons, knowing people would be spending more anyways. Could be worse - there was a game on a cashback site; bad programming caused them to award 5 times as much in prizes in the first day .... and in that cae, they were awarding CASH .....

I am still waiting to receive 2 gift cards. I redeemed points for a Papa John's gift card on 8-31-25 and it has now been more than 24 hours and I still have not it. On the early morning of 9-1-25 I redeemed points for a 5.00 Home Depot Card, and I have yet to receive it. I have not been able to access the AARP rewards website, as it is under maintenance today. It would be helpful if the notice of the maintenance would include when the website will resume.

I will join the list of people waiting for 2 emails for the gift cards I redeemed in The Extra Credit fiasco early morning. You do realize they aren't in the office to reply since it is a holiday. Just like they don't reply on weekends. I wonder what the Federal Trade Commission would think of this.
I see that the Rewards site in undergoing maintenance. Hopefully it is a real fix and they don't cause many other problems. After a maintenance, we always have 1 thing resolved but they revert to previous errors or create new errors,.
