Coffee !
I've been all over these forums & can't find the 'right forum', so mybe i'll find an answer on the front porch ?
I have 2 cans of 'cheapie' coffee ; tried mixing them so they would be more flavorful, but not-so-much did it work. Might buy a more spendy brand & mix them, but in meantime, anyone have any ideas on how to make these cheap brands taste better ?
Thanks !

Given the hot weather how about some Ice Tea for the afternoon!
Yield: Yields about 2 quarts.
I like to use orange pekoe tea and spring, filtered, or distilled water for this straightforward brew. If you like your iced tea southern style and quite sweet, add 1-1/2-cups granulated sugar.
Check out more summer drinks, including fun and classic cocktail recipes and icy drinks and shakes, on the Drinks & Entertaining page.
- 2-1/4 cups water
- 6 regular-size tea bags (about 1/2-ounce total), or 2 family-size tea bags
- 6 cups cold water
- Granulated sugar for garnish
- Lemon wedges for garnish
- Mint sprigs for garnish
- In a small saucepan, bring the 2-1/4 cups water to a gentle boil. Add the tea bags, remove the saucepan from the heat, and cover. Steep for 15 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags without squeezing them (which would add bitterness) and pour the steeped tea into a 2-1/2-quart heatproof container (like a large Pyrex liquid measure). Add the 6 cups cold water and mix. Let cool at room temperature and then refrigerate until cold. Serve over ice, garnished with sugar, lemon wedges, and mint sprigs.

Dear Lifehacker,
I'm ready to take the plunge into making better coffee, and I've got all my gear picked out—but where can I actually buy the beans? Do I just get them at the grocery store, or is there something better I should get? Is there any way to try out different coffee before I buy a ton?
Sincerely, The Best Part of Waking Up
Dear Best Part of Waking Up,
You're absolutely right, great coffee starts with the beans. Don't get us wrong, brewing method is important. That's why we've talked about how to brew the perfect cup, how to make the most of a drip maker, shown you awesome coffee makers beyond drip, talked about how to make great coffee on the cheap, and even the best way to make your coffee portable. Still, the key to a good cup starts with the beans you take home with you.

I can't function if I don't start my day with coffee. No matter what time I wake up. First thing I have to do is brew my coffee and have my homemade breakfast. I love the smell of coffee and each morning the smell and the feeling takes me back to my youth being at home with my parents and always waking up to the amazing scent of coffee being brewed followed by the scents of breakfast cooking, baking, or whatever method used for that particular daily breakfast my amazing mother chose to use. Hmmmm.....love the memories......happy happy happy times.,,
