Annual deductibles for Part A and B are also set to rise in the new year.

By Rachel Nania, AARP. Published November 11, 2024.

The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B โ€” the part of Medicare that covers doctorโ€™s visits, routine cancer screenings, home health care and other outpatient services โ€” will be $185 for 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced Nov. 8. This is an increase of $10.30 from 2024 and is similar to the nearly $10 monthly premium hike seen in 2024, from 2023.

Part B beneficiaries with annual individual incomes greater than $106,000 will pay more than the standard premium, though how much more depends on their income. CMS says income-related monthly adjustments affect roughly 8 percent of people with Part B insurance.

Why read these comments when many of them are filled with so much MISinformation - Seniors should learn how the program of Medicare actually works - not how they think ir works.

@GailL1 , everyone has the "right" to leave a comment on the AARP Articles on the AARP Website. AARP owns the website and articles. As far as reading the comments left on the AARP Articles on the AARP Website, no one said you had to.

@SpringIsHereVA

I did not say anything about their โ€œrightโ€ to leave a comment - I said why read them when they are just filled with misinformation.

Seniors need to learn how the programs of Medicare works - Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D and what is covered, their choices and how things are covered -

Spreading misinformation is a disservice to everybody.

@GailL1 , what people need to do is not my concern. Everyone is free to live their life their way. I am way too busy enjoying my retirement to waste my time or energy controlling others. Now I am walking away from all this.
