Who is eligible and who is not?   What are the rules in your state?

Well, I guess everybody knows about this important benefit for those who are eligible - the Medicare Savings Program.

So, all I will say is that when you get a notice from your state’s Medicaid program on this benefit for whatever - recertification, questionnaire, notice of information, etc.  - that you read it, answer it and stay up to date on any of these inquiries that have to be sent back.  Most likely notices will begin to show up at the end of this year and definitely by the 1st quarter of 2026.  

The 2026 eligibility levels will come out the 1st quarter of 2026 - that’s for the Federal eligibility levels - for your state it could be anytime between now and during the 1st quarter of 2026.

Will income and asset levels change and how drastically - that depends on your state.
