Home Infusion therapy

Does Medicare pay for home infusion therapy if the patient is homebound and can't travel to a doctor's office on a daily basis?  If so, does anyone know the correct codes to send to Medicare?

Sometimes -

Medicare.gov - Home infusion therapy services & supplies

OR they may train you or someone else in the household to do it - - just depends on the drug, the equipment and the nature of the process/

CMS.gov - Home Infusion Therapy Services

Check out the links on the left side of the page.

The doctor should make the order to the Therapy team - if you have traditional Medicare just make sure that they are on the Medicare list of providers and they take Medicsre assignment.

The treatment and drug also has to be approved for medical necessity and is an acceptable practice which is covered.
