Hello,
Can a Medicare supplemental insurance premium be deducted from Social Security benefits?
Relative has traditional Part A&B coverage, and that deducts from SSA fine.
Also their Part D coverage (Humana), we did an easy online form to switch
it to an SSA deduction. However the supplement provider Allstate says there
is no option to draw directly from SSA. Is this true of all providers?
Perhaps we should reconsider the Advantage plans instead during open election.
We wanted everything to be as simple as possible, for a person living on fixed means
and of diminished capacity to manage finances. I wanted best coverage, and for
it all to be paid by deduction. So they would never be in a pickle, where they
overdrafted their checking, and a premium didn't get paid.
Thanks!
