Drug price hike at refill time

I just got refill of xarelto...$360 for 3 month supply. That is a hike of 200% from previous refill. Does anyone know the reason for this outrageous price hike 🤬

AARP.org - 01/09/2025 - 25 Top Medicare Part D Drugs Have Nearly Doubled in Price

Xarelto is one of those drugs that Medicare negotiated a new price for in 2024 and this price becomes effective in 2026 but the price you are paying now is even lower than that.

CMS.gov- Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program: Negotiated Prices for Initial Price Applicability ...

If you are buying your drugs under a Medicare Part D plan or one that is included in a Medicare Advantage plan then Plan designs affect the insurance program.  Your deductible, if any, where you buy your drugs also makes a difference in price.

The best place to ask your question would be to your Prescription Drug Plan insurer.

IT‘S ALWAYS SOMETHING . . . . .. . . .
