What Is or Was Your Favorite Halloween Candy?

Most folks I know give out Halloween candy that they like, in hopes of having leftovers!  I know I do!

As a kid I loved Smarties, Snickers and Reeseโ€™s Peanut Butter Cups.

I like giving out full bars, because you see and hear the joy from the kids. Itโ€™s once a year, and fun.

The neighborhood Iโ€™m in is near a school, so getting almost 200 Trick-orTreaters is common here!  I like getting the Reeseโ€™s Peanut Butter Cups at Samโ€™s Club, since they have the larger quantities.

Any favorite candies?

We do have the parents who have drinks in their hands.  Some houses give out wine, but I find that to be irresponsible.  Then we get the parents who have a bag wanting us to put candy in it as well for them, saying itโ€™s for a child at home whoโ€™s sick.  Heard that one too many times!

Not swept under the rug I donโ€™t think.  Thatโ€™s a bit off topic from favorite candy so Iโ€™ll end there.

Iโ€™ve always like those.  Have you tried putting them in the fridge?  Needs to sit out for a little bit to soften, or Iโ€™d kill my teeth!  but really good.

I love your idea of full-sized candy!  As a kid, Iโ€™d literally jump for joy at full-sized Hershey bars or a Reeceโ€™s Cups double pack!

Iโ€™ll only get a couple dozen trick or treaters at most.  They tend to be under 8 years old and are usually accompanied by their costumed parents as well as their costumed dogs!

This year Iโ€™m doing smaller candy, but itโ€™s a โ€œpick 6โ€ opportunity, and there are non- edible options like ping pong eyeballs, and icky sticky hands. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Last night, my former work colleagues were having a โ€œWhatโ€™s your goodie bowl look like this year?โ€ discussion, and Iโ€™ll share my bowl here too.  The rat thatโ€™s pictured will be โ€œguardingโ€ the bowl outdoors with me. ๐ŸŽƒ

Great topic!     (โ€ฆ.and yup, looking forward to leftovers!)

All classics.  Making Sโ€™mores with Hershey bars was always fun.  And if we werenโ€™t outside near a campfire, roasting the marshmallows over the burner flame in the kitchen did just as well!

Fantastic goodie bowl!  I really like that pick six option youโ€™ll be doing. Thatโ€™ll make it a lot of fun for sure! Some years Iโ€™ll give out glow sticks and spider rings as well and they can pick one of those.  This year just the candy.  Liked seeing the picture!
