What Is or Was Your Favorite Halloween Candy?
Most folks I know give out Halloween candy that they like, in hopes of having leftovers! I know I do!
As a kid I loved Smarties, Snickers and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
I like giving out full bars, because you see and hear the joy from the kids. It’s once a year, and fun.
The neighborhood I’m in is near a school, so getting almost 200 Trick-orTreaters is common here! I like getting the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups at Sam’s Club, since they have the larger quantities.
Any favorite candies?

I love your idea of full-sized candy! As a kid, I’d literally jump for joy at full-sized Hershey bars or a Reece’s Cups double pack!
I’ll only get a couple dozen trick or treaters at most. They tend to be under 8 years old and are usually accompanied by their costumed parents as well as their costumed dogs!
This year I’m doing smaller candy, but it’s a “pick 6” opportunity, and there are non- edible options like ping pong eyeballs, and icky sticky hands. 😮
Last night, my former work colleagues were having a “What’s your goodie bowl look like this year?” discussion, and I’ll share my bowl here too. The rat that’s pictured will be “guarding” the bowl outdoors with me. 🎃
Great topic! (….and yup, looking forward to leftovers!)

Fantastic goodie bowl! I really like that pick six option you’ll be doing. That’ll make it a lot of fun for sure! Some years I’ll give out glow sticks and spider rings as well and they can pick one of those. This year just the candy. Liked seeing the picture!
