Looking for Low Income Housing in Silver Spring

My name is Paula, I am new to this forum, I have been looking for low income senior communities in the Silver Spring area Maryland.  I work in that area and I do not drive anymore, I work full time its been 2 years and have been on 3 waiting list and applied at many, its been really hard getting to this age and seeing that there are no housing for us seniors that are affordable.  I had my own apartment but moved in with one of my daughters to save money, well that was a bad idea because I haven't, so if anyone know of any affordable places, please respond I seriously need help.  Thank you.
