When I first moved into my cute Studio Apartment in 2018, I use to DREAD the arrival of ALL 4 school busses at the entrance of the complex where I am. ๐Ÿ™„ Between the "beep, beep and beep" as they backed up, loud kids and me not being able to sleep at nights - I was one CRANKY old lady. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ TODAY as I had my one window open on this "early" Spring day (63ยฐ and sunny), the "beep, beep and kids chattering" was a REMINDER that life is so good. Yes folks, I "think" the SHOCK of losing my neighbor and friend in his 70's to cancer "suddenly" is beginning to thaw. I still miss my dear sweet John, a veteran and an awesome person. Lol, I now "smile" when the 1st Bus arrives in the morning = time to get up and "wave" at the little darlings as they head to school. ๐Ÿ˜‰ How are you TODAY?

Luv you ALL, Nicole ๐ŸคŽ๐Ÿค—

Yes it's true kids chattering is a reminder of life that is going on with or without us. It is also a positive thing that the kids are going to school, talking to one another, and may even be enthusiastic. I love that you are giving the kids a smile and a wave as they head off to school. You may be the only person who is starting their day off in a positive way...we just don't know.

I'm sorry about the loss of your neighbor and missing him is what a friend who loved him does.

All in your own time Nicole. Thanks for sharing with us today!

Yesterday I had an appointment to deal with financial issues associated with my loss. These kinds of appointments have always been stressful for me, so I put time in my schedule to go to a local garden/museum when I finished. It worked out perfectly. I was recognized by an employee, a volunteer stopped to talk with me, strangers said hello, and I was in a beautiful, peaceful environment. The awareness of things I know cause stress gives me an opportunity to try an find a counter balance or to attempt to alter my response.

When you are trying to deal with your grief, things that seem small to other people are huge to us! I'm so happy that you had a smooth trip on the way to Walmart and while you shopped! It's terrific to have something to put in the "grateful for" column. ๐Ÿ™‚
