Hey Bob, they actually added one. I was looking into reverse mortgage options for a family member a while back and ended up using this calculator reverse.mortgage/calculator

I think I would always go with the HUD.gov one unless one really reads the really, really, really small mice type and understands it on the commercial bankers site.

HUD.gov - Home Equity Conversion Mortgages for Seniors

HUD.gov - HECM Calculator

[5/9/26] @AngleS694104 , I believe he Bob @bobfay  was asking AARP to do this NOT "Reverse Mortgage". There was some SPAM removed for "Reverse Mortgage" by the AARP Moderator (they are OFF on weekends). Lol, hope you are NOT going to "replace" the SPAM. We have really ENJOYED your "support" in the AARP Grief & Loss Forum. SPAM is not welcome!👍

Try Bankrate.com - Mortgage Calculator

The Amortization Calculator is great when you might want to speed up those payments and pay a mortgage off early and see how much interest cost you can save by doing this.

Years ago I build an Amortized mortgage schedule and with just adding $ 300 a month (or even more some months) to the mortgage payment I paid it off YEARS earlier.

That was 20 years ago - still here, same place.  Just had to put on a new roof - so things like that don’t change - but without a mortgage large expenses such as this can be managed.

Hi @bobfay There is one here on the site.  Use the search tool above, that magnifying glass up there. It’s by the help link.   And type mortgage calculator.  It’ll bring you to the link to take you there.

There’s a search tool magnifying glass for the discussion community forum, and then for the website articles and such.  That last one is the one to use to find the calculator. I just did and found it
