AARP Eye Center
I just got billed $69 for Roadside Assistance I do not have anymore. I signed up a year ago but then canceled the membership when I sold my car. I have filled out a form on their website to tell them but am very upset that my original cancelation apparently did not go through. This is why I am chary about AARP and any annual membership. I absolutely hate these 'auto-renewal' things that surprise you. I don't have a car now and am retired on a fixed income. $69 makes a difference to me.
I have been trying to cancel this auto-renewal, but the phone number provided always ends with "This office is not open, please call during normal business hours." I have tried multiple times with the same result, no matter when I call. It is currently 9:03 on a Tuesday.
