FAQ: Crosswordle

What is Crosswordle?

Crosswordle is a daily word puzzle game where you fill in a grid using logic and vocabulary skills. Each row must be a valid word, and each column must also form a valid word. The challenge lies in making all the words fit together correctly.

How do I play?

You’ll start with a grid and a few clues. Use the clues to guess valid words for each row. As you fill in the grid, make sure the columns also form valid words. You’ll receive feedback on each guess to help guide your next move.

Do I need to solve the puzzle in a specific order?

No – you can start with any row or column. However, it’s often helpful to begin with the rows that have the most clues or confirmed letters. These will give you a better chance of solving the rest of the grid.

Can I play more than the daily puzzle?

Yes! Crosswordle offers access to an unlimited practice mode.

Is there a time limit?

No – you can take as long as you need to solve each puzzle. Crosswordle is designed to be a thoughtful, logic-based game, so feel free to play at your own pace.

Is there a perfect score?

Every Crosswordle can be solved with 6 remaining guesses. Try to get as close as possible!

What happens if I make a mistake?

Mistakes are part of the process! Use the feedback system to identify incorrect letters and adjust your guesses.

Can I share my results?

Yes – once you’ve solved the puzzle, you’ll have the option to share your results with friends or on social media.

Is Crosswordle available on mobile?

Yes – Crosswordle is playable on both desktop and mobile browsers, so you can enjoy the challenge wherever you are.

I like the game and I am playing almost every day. When I play on my phone, win or lose, the screen goes gray and I have to start from the beginning. But the real reason for this comment is the swap limit. What's the point of it? I do solve most of my puzzles but when I don't the puzzle goes away and I don't get to see the word(s) I couldn't figure out.  And what's the point of the stars? So what? I would  rather be able to finish the puzzle.

Two more games you might like "2 minute Crossword" and "Codeword".   Both have time limits, which you may restart.   And both have assistance, which will lower your score while you learn,  And both keep records and are daily over the month.

I Is there a way to see your history?  I started on daily and have won them all, including 2 games of 6 stars.  Is there a record somewhere?

No, you cannot see past Crosswordle attempts. There is currently no feature to view previous game states or results.  Therefore, you cannot replay your own attempts.

Thank you.   I wanted stats, a record. No desire to replay.

The results screen can be screenshot and saved, but that may not work for your wanting a record like how other games have.

I don't see a "Practice" mode. There's an "Unlimited Swaps" option, but it limits the number of swaps.

@NolaF22529 , @CarolBurg414 There are 2 modes:

Daily Mode: One new puzzle each day. You only get one try!

Practice Mode: Unlimited puzzles for learning and skill-building.

Already addicted in a good way.  Wish I could go back and see how I won or lost.  Right now the puzzle just vanishes after a win or loss.  I’d like to be able to go back to review.  Don’t want to re-play, just see it.   Thanks!
