This post brought back childhood memories…..
Of Summertime, and the smell of fresh cut grass, the sound of dogs barking and kids playing.
Of fresh tomatoes and corn from the Farmer’s stand - which meant corn on the cob and bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches for dinner if it was hot and humid.
Thanks for sharing!
(I don’t remember what fresh corn cost in the sixties, but when I was old enough to drive and was sent to pick up the corn from the farmer’s stand, it was $1 a dozen. That was a “baker’s dozen”, so you actually received 13!
Enjoy the day!

My childhood memories has us walking out the back door and across the yard to the garden. In those days you had to have a garden to make ends meet. I'll tell you this, lot easier going to Farmers Market. Mine is getting more variety daily.
Purple Hull peas, fried okra, cornbread, corn on cob, and a thick slice of tomato is on the menu for Sat.
That dollar will get you A, one, 1, and I mean only one ear of corn today. I have gotten lazy when it comes to corn, I buy the frozen. To much work and never ever do I get all the silk off of the ear.

You are right, it is great on the grill. But I have gotten lazy and know it. I put it in with the beans and peas on the stove.
If you, ya'll, want to take it up a notch do this. Cook it, for this best done on grill, cover it with butter then put some parmaisian (sp) cheese.

. . . . this needs to stop. Yes, sell but look out for your residents & do what you can to help them to move. How do these INVESTORS sleep at night & there needs to be "protections" for residents. Any comments?
The link said -
. . . . this really comes down to the issue of contract law. Both sides, landlord and tenant, are bound to the terms of their lease contract for the benefit of all.
[ end copy/paste from link ]
Now if they don’t have a lease currently in effect - whatever timeline is governed by the state law on this type of agreement which is probably month to-month so a 30-days notice maybe all that is needed.
