Helena, Montana, residents age 50 and older love their community, but housing costs appear to be at the top of their list of concerns. Some also express the need for better communication channels with local leaders. The findings are part of an online survey of adults age 50-plus living in the community. The survey is aimed at providing a better understanding of the thoughts and needs of those living in the area.

READ the actual survey and the demographics of the survey participants - not who I thought they would be -
The US Census data give a good idea of the people who live there and their housing problems.
Did you know that the #1 reason why housing cost increase - people selling their home and cashing in on all the equity they have made on their home. In turn, this causes property taxes to rise since the new value is then assessed.
I think AARP researchers that did this survey need to look at the US Census Data.
