Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone would like to start a penpal group and put pen to paper for snail mail letters. Of course, initially, it would be email, but I'm an advocate of handwritten letters and it would progress to that. I think letter writing on paper makes both the writer and receiver of the letter enjoy the experience. I'd love anyone's thoughts on the subject.

OK. I print more often than I write, too, and my pen just retracts, so no spell check either-ha! If you wan to email me, we can exchange postal addresses.Your thoughts?
If you like writing short notes to children in hospitals, senior citizens, the military, etc. there are many volunteer groups you can join. I work with abrightspot.org. You can go to their website and find out more details. There's another one where you send longer letters directly to homes, meals on wheels, etc, That's letters against isolation.
Alrighty, then! I'll do my best to get a letter out this week. Maybe if it's only a letter or two a month it will soften the blow-ha! I hope you like discussing books, movies, music, and the general crankiness of seniors.
Respectfully,
Charlotte Cooper
