What happens to points that are about to expire while you are down?

Just wondering what will happen to earned points that are due to expire?  You can earn any and you can't spend them while AARP IT figures out what happened on yet another of their, "upgrades".  The site seems to crash almost every time IT does an upgrade.

AARP has failed (refused) to tell us what is wrong with the rewards program, what they are doing about it and a timetable for restoration (or even if they are planning to fix it), so I think it is a good bet that they won't be bothering to answer this question.

 I was wondering the same thing. If they were working on this site, it should have been fixed by now.  This site has been down too long and no information is given as to when it will be fixed.

Good question! I think they need to come out with some more info.....is this a true IT crash issue, or was this a hack?  I know some companies come out a year or more later and admit it, but by then, members personal info could have been used an unfathomable amount of times.  I think we all would understand if they just  'came clean' with their customer base.  Time will tell.....
