Scramble Words does not award points at least 3 times a week, no matter what kind of score I get or whether I hit "Play again". And Codewords doesn't award points at least once a week (sometimes two or three times in a week), no matter how well I do. The Two Minute Crossword and Mini-Crossword are consistently good with the points, and Hurdle usually is too. I will probably stop playing Scramble Words altogether, as it's not a very interesting game with the timer pressure, but Codewords I really enjoy, and would not want to stop playing it, even if I do feel dejected when I don't get the points. This malfunction in awarding points has been going on for months, and seems to be getting worse rather than better.
I see by the date of your original post that this isn't a new issue, but it is for me. There's nothing different about the way I'm playing, but the last few times I had to play again to get the points (not just hit the "play again" button, but actuallydo another game.) Today, I played three times and still didn't get any points. You are correct that it just isn't worth playing without any points.
Update to my post:
Continued problems getting points for Scramble Words. Started the new year with no points, as well. So my New Year's resolution for 2026 is to no longer play Scramble Words. The game isn't interesting enough to play for no points.
Happy New Year to my fellow AARP members and gamesters.
Ive gotten into the habit in all games to click play again so I get my points. So when you are done, click Play Again, and you’ll be awarded your points.
Thanks for your help, SereneSeagull. I know about the "Play again" button after Scramble Words. Unfortunately, clicking it doesn't bring up the "You scored ..." box on a regular basis. I still don't get the points for Scramble Words more than one in three times.
