Optimizing hard drives

I have this set to automatically optimize hard drives, but just now, checking, I see that he last run was

12-16-2018  Ok (0% fragmented )

What does this mean ? Is defrag being done, or not ?

It may be analyzing the disk and if optimizing is not needed not performing it. The image below shows when mine was performed last.

It means that you don't have to defrag which is always the case for solid state drives (SSD).

Defragging is unnecessary and harmful to SSD.  Is your hard drive SSD?

Remarkably, SSDs are getting dirt cheap.  I recently bought a 128 GB SSD for $20.  Your question  will soon be obsolete.
