New iPhone purchased at apple store and want assistance with data transfer

 I am planning to buy a new iPhone at the apple store, but apparently the apple store will not assist with data transfer anymore. As a senior with limited technical skills, I want in person assistance. I understand it does not take long. Has anyone been able to obtain assistance from the apple store when purchasing a new iPhone?

Usually, the Apple store is pretty helpful, but if  not the tech department at your local library in your town, usually has tech time available and can help you. When I bought my iPhone, I didn’t have anything to transfer but Apple has been pretty helpful with anything else and all the endless questions and issues that I’ve had.

Pamela @PamelaH142888 , maybe it is time to CHANGE.

 

At age 67 this year, the T-Mobile store in my area of Virginia will do this for me. Usually my daughter (she is in Florida) does ALL "stressful" stuff for me and purchasing another Android soon is STRESS./lol. Got used to the Android purchased in 2018 and way past the time to update. Promised her I will do it this year and already "crying" over having to LEARN a new phone. But certain apps like my bank and CVS pharmacy NO longer work. Good Luck, Nicole  👵

Update: When I actually got to the store, there was one apple employee to help several of us who were starting up our new devices. I guess you can't make a 1:1 appt., but this worked fine. It def saved time ordering the phone online for pickup and backing up my old phone to the cloud.
