The rewards points should not expire. I had over 40K points on 1/21/2025 and now I just checked, and I am down to a little over 1K points. This is a total scam to me and a complete waste of my time to try and get rewards points to only have them expire. I noticed recently that I received an account summary E-mail in February stating that I had 24K points expired in January and then another account summary on March 5 of 39K points expired in February. I guess each month, I will have points to expire, which makes no sense at all. To me, it is all a complete scam and a waste of my time! This is a lot of points to not have any more since I have been a member since 2023. The whole account E-mail summary should be revised because you have to scroll down to see the points summary. They have your account achievements listed first in the E-mail. It is almost like they want you to miss seeing that your points have expired. There are no early E-mail warnings stating that your points are about to expire soon, only when they are GONE! I won't be spending any more time in getting points and I will take the spam E-mails I get from aarp and automatically have them go to my junk E-mail folder for deletion.
I understand why you would be concerned about points being removed from your account, MarciaR53642. AARP Rewards points expire on a 12-month basis. You can view when your points will expire in your transaction history, and we will also email you a reminder that you have points coming up for expiration prior to the points expiring. Check out our help article https://aarp.info/2GwmcBb for additional information about expiring points. Let me know if you have any questions! - Brandon C.
Somewhat? They took my money and never sent me my purchased Grocery cards. Th "rewards" system is erratic at best . . . and has not worked properly for 2+ weeks. Their customer service is laughably bad. I have lost at least 10 hours of effort. No more. I do done with AARP . . . . although I HAD been a member for 26 years! Shame on AARP.
