New Savings Plan for Lo Milage driving.

 Hello

I read in one of the AARP Papers about a Low Milage Plan for people that drive a few miles a week etc.

Where you pay a Fee and then only pay for the milage you drive.

Has anyone seen or applied for this.

Thanks

AARP.org 08/07/2025 - 10 Proven Ways to Pay Less for Car Insurance

What you are referring to is “pay for miles” policies - not all insurers have them and you need to read about them to make sure they do what you need them to do - and pay close attention to any requirement for the policy.

I think AARP’s The Hartford has such a policy.   USAA did or does have one called SafePilot.  You will have to check around for any others.

They are usually combined with those safe driving programs and tech devices (which are a pain IMO) to monitor your safe driving habits and skills.

IT‘S ALWAYS SOMETHING . . . . .. . . .
