Rewards redemption rejected

Why do I keep getting the following message when I attempt to redeem my rewards points? Unable to process your redemption request.

I haven’t been able to redeem rewards points for months.  I get the same error message.

John @JohnC488083 , did you report your "issue" to the AARP "Rewards" Customer Service?

They are "different" from the AARP Customer Service.

Their number is (866)451-6305. OPEN weekdays 8am ET to 8pm ET.

The AARP AI runs the 1st part of the CHAT session(s). Then IF you get lucky, it will transfer you to a HUMAN.

Good luck,

Nicole!

Terry @TerryR369 , the "issue" has ZERO to do with bots thinking you are cheating.

It is a "glitch" that the AARP IT Dept will "fix" for you once you report it to AARP.

I and OTHERS had this happen to us & it was "fixed". 👍

CALL the AARP "Rewards" Customer Service. They are "different" from the AARP Customer Service.

might be the beginning of the dreaded "follow the rules" saga plaguing others, long story short, the bots think you earned points fraudulently and won't allow you to redeem.  It may take weeks or even months to get it settled, but start with a phone call, take notes of who said what and when, and continue to seek help.  If all else fails, BBB can help.

I have tried on the phone to report this problem for my daughter's secondary account and nothing has been done. AARP is well aware of this problem, as there have been dozens of threads from people complaining yet nothing gets done. I deleted my daughters secondary account, waited a couple weeks then added her back using her middle name. The "redemption request is unable to be completed" is still there. It is sad indeed when a company that is supposed to help seniors is so unresponsive to making repairs to their website glitches. I am about ready to contact the BBB. The phone calls don't help! They want you to clear cache, history, etc which has zero to do with the issue. It is very frustrating, mods here say call then I called and nothing done from 2 months ago.
