Denny’s not giving full 15% discount

My wife and I went to Denny’s this morning for breakfast. The food and service is great. Everything was great except when I went to pay and showed my AARP Card I noticed that the bill wasn’t right. As you could see, Denny’s idea of 15% is $1.29. I’ll have to remember that when I tip next time. I brought this to the cashier’s attention but she couldn’t grasp what I was trying to say. I even used the calculator on my phone. Still nothing. Is anybody else having this problem or is it just this one Denny’s in Tracy CA.15% of $25.56 is $3.83 and not $1.29

The “devil” is in the details - you only got the 15% discount on the (2) beverages at $ 4.29 each X 2 = $ 8.58 X .15 = $ 1.287 ( $ 1.29 rounded).

Hi @Rllenor , this comes up here from time to time.  Ironically Dennys has something on their website about because I guess it comes up there a lot too!  The discount doesn’t cover some of the Slam Breakfasts.  I copied the burb below for you.  In their FAQ section of their website.
