Unable to process your redemption request

 I have not used rewards for many years. A couple of weeks ago I started to reaccumulate points. I have no problem earning points. When I try to redeem them I get: "Unable to process your redemption request". So far the agents have been of no help. They just say they will submit the problem.

I can't get mine to redeem since I started 4 months ago.  Tech service and customer service are worthless.  I've spent so much time on this - they have no problem sending me advertisements or taking my money.  😞  Why tout a rewards program that doesn't work?

At the end of last year, alot of people had this happen on their accounts (you can search the discussion forums for "Unable to process your redemption request" for more information). The customer support agents can't fix this, it has to be done by the tech team. And it isn't an easy process, based on people's past experience. If you really want to get it fixed, you will have to be persistent.  It might help to send a private message to AARPCustomerCare here on the community website.

Is there an error code number that comes up, by any chance?

There is no error code.  Just the message "Unable to process your redemption request".  I have been trying for two months for AARP to respond with no luck.
