Still Unable to Redeem Ponts

joined AARP in July.  A week after joining, not available to redeem or buy gift cards.  Lost 1 month of benefits.

31 July emailed and talked on the phone with AARP Customer Care.  Supposed to be taken care of.

8th Aug- Called Customer Service number, again elevated.  Emailed Travis at Customer Care, no return email.

18th Aug-Still not able to redeem, no emails, no follow up phone calls.

This is ridiculous.  My annual payment went through with no problems.  AARP didn't have to call or email my bank to see what the problem is with my payment.  If this is a benefit, it should be an automatic addition to your account.  I cannot believe that if they have 10s or 100s of people each day/week joining that every one of them are having issues.

AARP should fix the problem and needs to make it right for the ones loosing out.  I lost out on 3 gift cards last month, and now possibly another 3 this month.  IF they can't fix issues in a timely manner, I should have the choice to redeem 3x gift cards per lost month of service once the issue is corrected or  maybe ask what gift cards we would like and manually send them to us.

This is not acceptable in todays tech world.

Hello Ray @RayB618379 , did you get a "chance" to SEND an AARP Private Message (PM) to AARP Darryl?

He is really a "helpful" AARP Employee.

Take care,

Nicole!

On your next call to them, maybe tell them if you cannot fix this in the time you have indicated please refund my money.  Also let them know you will contact better business.  They will have to reply to bbb and then get back to you.  You will still be a member, you will still have your rewards account.  You just will have reduced benefits.  Continue to earn points and if they do fix your account, you can reconsider paying again if you want the full membership.  They won’t give you any option to use the rewards for the months they could not remedy the situation but it may bring you peace of mind to withhold funds.  It will take them seconds to take away your membership but a few weeks to return your money.  Then you will have a pile of points if they fix your account.

Yes, @BtW751689  As well as their State Attorney General, whose office looks into internet fraud, sweepstakes, gaming, deceptive online practices etc.

Screen capture…just saying.

Ray @RayB618379 , are you able to "send" AARP Private Messages (PMs)? If yes, send AARP Darryl one. I am heading to "locate" the DISCUSSION where he "offers" to help OTHER members. I will be back with the LINK to it.

Hi @MichaelH852670.

Yes, you’ll need to contact support so a case can be created to help resolve this issue. If you haven’t already reached out to AARP Support, you can do so here: AARP Help. If you have done so, send me a private message so I can check the case status -AARP Darryl
