Reward Points Needed to Purchase Gift Cards Keeps Rising

When I joined AARP, it took 25 reward points to try for an instant win gift card. Since then, it has risen to 50 points, and now just recently 75 points. I noticed, also, that some of the gift card purchases and sweepstakes are bumping up their required reward points. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that we can use our points to try and win gift cards and sweepstakes, or to buy them with points, but let's compromise. Perhaps increase the number of winners or allow members to purchase 4 gift cards a month instead of 3. It's give and take, and right now, all people are seeing is "give."

I find it interesting that AARP is always harping on inflation and how that affects seniors. However, going from 50 points to 75 points is a 50% inflation rate compared to 3-4% for the rest of the economy. If they followed the normal inflation rate the points would have gone from 50 to 52 or so.
