Please extend expiration dates on Kohls gift cards!

In November and December (of 2025) my husband and I both redeemed for $5 Kohls gift cards.  I went to use them today (Sunday, 2/8) and the links are expired.  Yes, I know I can contact AARP and have them re-sent but I can't do that until a business day.  It hasn't even been three months! I'm even wondering if I should wait until I know I'm going to use them because I may have to request *another* link to be sent if it's two months from now.

Please extend the expiration date of links to at least a year.  Having such a short expiration date makes so much work for your agents!

If anyone has any gift cards they've received over two months ago I would check them and see if they're expired as well.  If they were given as gifts it may be embarrassing and awkward if the links are expired.

I had quite a few cards that weren't very old "expire" so I had to call up. Now I have purchased one of the Sonic extra rewards cards two days ago and still have not received it . Is this the new normal for receiving gift cards purchased? Usually they come in about 10 minutes.

I usually print my cards soon after getting them, is it possible the printed cards also don't work?

If you print them right away they work. Or I’ll speak for myself, they do.  I forgot to print one a few weeks ago and went to do so when I remembered, but the link to get the card in my email didn’t work.  Called CS and within minutes the problem was solved with a new email that was generated to me by them.  So I concluded by that, that printing it immediately is the way to always go for me instead.  For those that load a given card online, I’d suggest to do it right away as well.

All gift cards received before the end of January have suddenly had their links expired. You have to call AARP Rewards and have them resent one by one. Chat might work.

Good luck!
