No Support for Samsung Health?

Went out and bought a Samsung Galaxy Fit last year (which has been great), but the AARP app forces me to use Health Connect on Android. Health Connect is awful and has a rating of only 2.5 stars in Google Play. I mean, my wearable syncs up to so many places, from Samsung Health to Personify. Will AARP ever allow this syncing within the app? Considering Health Connect has failed to track a single step in almost a year, I just consider those points for activities a lost cause.

I’m in the same boat but like you, I’m not adding another app when the inherent Samsung Health app is plenty robust to keep up with my daily walks and other workouts.  I just find it sad we can’t join in on the health benefits offered and it’s the, last time I looked, second most sold watch.

Hi @MichaelM844203 and @LockheedA358172, Thanks for sharing.

Many members use Samsung Health and Samsung wearables. Currently, AARP relies on Health Connect to sync activity data into AARP Rewards.

At this time, Health Connect is the supported method for syncing on Android, providing a consistent and secure way to share data across platforms.

Your feedback on:

  • Missing or inaccurate step tracking
  • Preference not to use an additional app
  • Interest in direct Samsung Health integration

…is being shared with the appropriate teams as they continue to evaluate the experience and potential improvements.

I am in the same boat and absolutely refuse to use Health Connect due to privacy concerns. Please note for future reference. Would love to see Samsung Health supported. AARP Rewards nearly useless for me if no step counting reward.
