May 2026 Extra Credit Activity will not credit

 Extra credit activity quiz "How to Save on Summer Travel" will not credit.  I have completed several times.  Cannot get the redemptions to  unlock for MAP OUT YOUR NEXT SUMMER ESCAPE. Anyone else having this problem?

And of course this morning after they fix the glitch, the gift card is sold out!  Because of AARP failure to test the system we are all out of luck

Jonathan @JonathanM243209 , try calling the AARP Customer Service. Sometimes they will send a giftcard AFTER "checking" your Rewards Account (it will show that you did COMPLETE this activity). I "skip" the chat and text options as they are AI. It probably will NOT be a giftcard that is SOLD OUT.

Several years ago I contacted customer service because I ordered a gift card but didn't get it, and then it was sold out. They couldn't give me the gift card, couldn't even give me back my redemption, and were just able to give me back the points I used.

It worked for me this morning. I tried twice last night and first it said I maxed out my points, then it said I already completed it....so I didn't bother anymore!

Just completed the quiz on saving for summer travel, but points were not awarded, as system says I already completed the course! Another month another system failure - consistency!! Now I will not be able to claim the reward prize - great system

Not a real big surprise but how can POINTS ONLY gift cards Chewy, JC Penny, & Cost Plus World Market be sold out @ 2:00 am ET ??
Thinking: what’s the point of completing all the activities (4) in Extra Credit to get a gift card and only then find out you can only redeem for it one time ?? 
How long does this exclusion last, will you ever be able to purchase that gift card again ??
So many ridiculous rules and roadblocks to prevent us seniors from taking advantage of this rewards program.

I’ve done all extra credit tasks right as they became new and available at midnight, in previous months,  when I wanted something badly.  Looked at what was being offered this month right at the stroke of twelve, and backed out.  It’s fun though, watching with anticipation as the month changes over.

A lot of gift cards that are available on the last day of the month become sold out right before 12am ET because people who have redemptions left for the month are using them before they lose them. The gift cards will still be shown for the next day, but will be labeled as sold out.  All gift cards (extra credit or not) can only be redeemed one time.  Some of the popular extra credit gift cards will sell out fast, so even if you complete the activities, if the gift card is sold out, you won't be able to redeem it. And then there are the problems with some of the extra credit activities (this seems to be happening every month), which cause problems with getting some of the gift cards. These problems usually get resolved after awhile, but if you don't get the gift cards soon after the problem is resolved, it may sell out and will no longer be available.  Just some of the annoying things about this rewards program.

Edit: also, if people have already used their 3 redemptions for the month and a gift card shows up that they want, they need to wait until the beginning of the next month before they can get it (assuming it doesn't sell out before then). So maybe some of these gift cards became sold out because people were using their May redemptions to get them.

Yep, I was someone with 1 redemption left for April, as my hopes dwindled after 8 pm.  Nothing of interest left, but had fun watching others snatch up the last of the cards as time ticked.  Too bad we can’t carry those over like unused vacation credits!
