Well, it's a normal day on AARP.ORG. I tried to enter the 2025 Getaway Sweepstakes (which is supposed to end at midnight tonight) and got the error message "An error occurred while processing your request.

The screen just sits there and says "AARPBOT is on its way". Well, it's been 10 minutes, is AARPBOT on a bathroom break? Typical AARP...nothing works and nothing gets fixed.

I have had it happen to me also. I think AAARP just throws us a carrot and sits back adjust laughs because they are aware that they give us nothing >

I get "bad request".  I have cleared cache and cookies but no luck

So I use Chrome Version 137.0.7151.86 (Official Build) (64-bit); also tried Firefox.

 

After uninstalling and power down then start and download Firefox led me to successful entry in the Sweeps.

 

Thank you all for responding; not sure why anyone would need to traverse the browser world to enter this sweep but there it is...

I tried to enter on Edge, but got "bad response" (I get this for other AARP links also, when I use Edge).  Tried again using Chrome and that worked.

Thanks, Renate! I use chrome but tried firefox to no avail; daughter and sister (different city/states) also tried; perhaps it's just not meant to be for us...

At first I had a problem entering this Sweeps; but then I 'temporarily' shut off the usual  'adblocker software' the I normally have on and  (sometimes not blocking third party cookies) - and then I would be able to enter  - only one entry. This will sometimes happen with the big Sweeps that AARP has - all I need to do is to 'temporarily' shut the adblocker and/or blocking the 'third party cookies.'

Denese @WebWiseWoman , I HOPE they get this fixed for you BEFORE this Sweepstakes ENDS!!! I no longer enter them or do Instant Wins. Finally broke down & redeemed 30,000 points for a 6-month Print Subscription of People (hate digital anything). Now to see IF this arrives. Not in luv with People but maybe give it to someone who is.
