AARP Eye Center
In Jan 23 I became eligible to receive $148 in SS benefit. My SS account online shows "suspended" and I did not request any suspension. The benefit is also not being applied to my Medicare premium ($165.90 for standard, plus $65.90 for IRMAA), which I realize will take all my SS benefit and then leave me with some remaining Medicare payment. And that is fine, but I do not see where the SS benefit of $148 is being applied to my Medicare premium. I am being billed and paying the full amount due for my Medicare. My local SS office said maybe the SS benefit and the Medicare premium payments I am making will all reconcile at the end of the year. I am not so sure of that and hate to wait until my problem is a year old before pursuing a resolution.

That's a totally unacceptable response. Call back and get someone different or a supervisor.
You did apply for benefits, didn't you?
