When is your actual monthly benefit calculated? As of the date you applied? Or as of the date your application is approved? For example, on the date I applied my benefit may be $1800/month. By the time my application is approved weeks later my benefit may be $1840/month.
My benefit started one month after I applied, on the day of the month (28th) I applied and if I remember correctly, it was for the amount that was quoted me that day. Whether that quote was based on the date I applied or the date the benefit would start, I do not remember. But it will be for the amount they told you. I suppose it is the difference between paying up front of the month, or paying at the end of the month, if you understand what I mean, like are you getting money to spend for the month, or are you getting reimbursed for the month.
