AARP Eye Center
Hi,
Our bank, BMO (Bank of Montreal) based in Chicago, recently sent my husband an email that if he uses his debit card 20x by the end of July, he will receive a $5 gift card.
We have joint accounts; I didn't receive an invite. I also pay all bills and as my husband puts it to the banker(s) - "My wife's in charge". 🙂
I find it odd that they want to over-promote using debit cards after a banker six months ago talked about a credit card being safer to use (someone hacked our account last October by trying to use Zelle to pay themselves).
Just wondering what it's really all about and if anyone else has encountered this scenario.
NOT going to use a debit card 20x for $5.
Thanks! 🙂
