FYI for the community, and everyone's safety.
(@AARPJanelleM &/or to whomever handles these issues.)
Received this email today (see screencap below). A sender impersonating AARP Rewards, with email address from: Hi! Your AARP Reward and has email ending with @ yourcartslive.com, with subject Line: 'AARP Reward Open Immediately.' This is a scam!
Do not click on the link that reads, 'Claim Your One Hundred Dollar AARP Offer,' and do not 'unsubscribe.' Unsubscribing is a way for the sender to know they've reached the intended person/persons. Do not do anything, but DELETE THIS EMAIL. If you're so inclined, you can also block the sender. Again, FYI.
UPDATE: Here's what @AARPJanelleM said about these type of fraud/scam emails received, and what to do about them, in the future...
'Let's get this info to our AARP Fraud Watch Network for further guidance! When you have a moment, please call our helpline to report this fraudulent email: 1-877-908-3360 (Available Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. ET, and Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET). Also, be sure to report the email as spam with your email provider so similar fraud emails will automatically be flagged to your spam folder.'
Thanks, @AARPJanelleM!
