Just got that one. Hadn't time to listen to it yet. Too bad they don't broadway shows on DVD. I'd like to watch it.

I know!   It's coming to DC in 2018, but I'm deathly afraid even the standing-room only seats will be $300+.  If I can get them...

Miranda had said he would do a movie, but I think he's shelved that idea for the time being.

@nyadm "A Song for You":

Great song written by the late great Leon Russell, who also wrote 2 other songs from the Carpenters' catalog, "This Masquerade" and "Superstar," which he co-wrote with Bonnie Bramlett.

From a 2005 interview: When asked which (of the many) recorded versions of "Superstar" was his favorite – the interviewer apparently tried to steer him towards a version other than the Carpenters' – Russell simply and tersely responded, "I have always been a huge fan of Karen Carpenter."

That's interesting. I like both artists. Didn't know Russell wrote those songs. I missed an opportunity to see him in concert. He was playing at the Flying Dutchman in South Carolina (near Charlseton). He was borrowing Willie Nelson's tour bus when it had generator problems. It was brought in for repairs, and I got the offer to free tickets to the concert. Couldn't go, tho. My wife was sick and I had to stay home. Bummer.

Watched "The Big Chill" today for the 1st time. What an awesome soundtrack!!

Actually made the annoying self-absorption of all the characters almost bearable, haha.

Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington "Hunger Strike"...

imho, sadest loss of talents since Jimi and Janis in 1970... I heard LP "Somewhere I belong" on the way home from office and had to pull over at "I want to heal..."

Miss all of these young talents we lost too soon.
