in that vein, there is Yoyoka from Japan. A drumming prodigy with lots of YouTube videos, trips to the US and media coverage.

One of my favorite videos is her cover of a Rage Against the Machine song, playing with her mother and family/friends. Disregarding all other factors this is just a great video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slPcweQ_Bg4. Yoyoka was also 10 years old at this time.
