Staying safe and staying in! After spending the better part of the week teleworking on a presentation for a must-attend 8AM Monday investors' GoToMeeting - on a dedicated and secure computer from the office - using a part of the system that shuts down for maintenance on the weekend - my computer crashed on Friday night. Just crashed. Adios Final curtain.
Between fits of anguish and frantic-panic, I called my tech guy who said that it sounded like I needed either new RAM (which is, I understand, super-easy) or a new motherboard (No. No. No.). Some people can build computers. All I know about hardware devices is that my computers have some. But that was about to change. I had to try to fix (?) it myself. Horrors!
Had to go to the office to pick up RAM (not one of my household staples). Called security guard to expect me, to avoid getting busted for sneaking into the building late at night to steal RAM. Got there, washed & sanitized hands, put on the rubber gloves, and foraged until I found the things that looked like the pictures. Grabbed two (In case I broke one). Fled home to do the deed and stay inside for another week.
The time had come. I was apprehensive (scared out of my wits) and so exhausted I wanted to give up, flop into bed, and binge-watch my screen-saver,
I boneheaded through the whole thing but I fixed it shortly after midnight. This called for some great words and lyrics!
I clear the "dance floor" pumped up the volume, and yelled it out. Really loud.

Bruce Hornsby - The Valley Road. The song is just so upbeat, it makes me feel good. I especially like to listen while watching the video on Youtube, watching people from all walks of life bopping to the music, and watching Hornsby's fingers dancing across the keyboard.
