How amusing. So many of you have posted Cher's "Turn Back Time", as I did.
Can it be that I am not the only one who dislikes (loathes, despises, and hates) this modern, technologically-advanced, politically-correct era?
But then, why should we hate it? We all chose to stand by and allow it to happen, thinking that it couldn't possibly affect us.
Just as we are doing again this very moment in Time.

I just had another idea along this topic. "To Be Or Not To Be?" To look back or not to look back. To look back or to look forward. Here is a sequence of four songs that gives a different perspective on that. And they are about time/timing.
Steve Winwood; When You See A Chance (Take It)
Carpenters; We've Only Just Begun
Seals & Crofts; We May Never Pass This Way Again
LeAnne Rhimes & Elton John; Written In The Stars (God's Experiment)

I have a theory about that; want to hear it? 1st, you only have one chance to make a 1st impression; therefore, the 1st sound-bite out of your mouth has to be the right one or you'll lose your audience. Don't confuse "precise" with "politically correct"; they have different goals in mind. I think everybody would like to have a second chance at something; that's where the sound-bite "Turn Back Time" comes from. In general, you'd only want the benefits and not "the whole package" of that. There is a song that should be included in this "Songs about time theme": Toby Keith; I Wish I Didn't Know Now What I Didn't Know Then. The idea of getting a second chance at a better result is what's being expressed in the phrase "Turn back time", not necessarily re-living the whole experience. Therefore, if we take the time and effort to get it right, then maybe we can we can all get on the same page and agree to learn from the past, bring those lessons to the present, and actually get the result we all want without having to actually "Turn Back The Hands Of Time" (Tyrone Davis), thereby benefitting from the Lessons Learned (Tracy Lawrence) and fullfilling Imagine (John Lennon). Then maybe we could over-look 1st impressions and take a second look at where to go from here. Anything worth having is worth a second look. Don't blow it (you only have one chance to get a second look).

Time in a Bottle
Jim Croce
If I could save time in a bottle
the first thing I'd like to do
Is to save every day till eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you
If I could make days last forever
If words could make wishes come true
I'd save every day like a treasure and then again
I would spend them with you.
But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do once you find them.
I've looked around enough to know that
You're the one I want to go through time with.
If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty except for the memory of how they were answered by you.

I thought Some Enchanted Evening was an instumental? My mom had a Three Suns album with that on it. Is there another one?
Rubber Ducky? Do you mean that one by Jim Henson? How's that about time?

"Some Enchanted Evening" is from South Pacific by Rodgers & Hammerstein. While it's been recorded as instrumental many times, it certainly does have lyrics. Emile de Becque sings it about Nellie Forbush.
"Some enchanted evening
You may see a stranger.
You may see a stranger
Across a crowded room.
And somehow you know,
You know even then,
That some day you'll see her again and again."
It has several additional verses as well.
